Owhango is a small town on the North Island of New Zealand. It belongs administratively to the Ruapehu District Manawatu -Wanganui Region.

Geography

The Farming village lies on a plateau high above the river Whakapapa River. The 39th parallel runs through the town.

Traffic

The village is on the New Zealand State Highway 4. Between Taumarunui in the north and in the south of National Park Village The railway line in the North Iceland Main Trunk Railway also runs through the village.
