Owschlag

Owschlag (Danish: Okslev ) is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein. Norby, Boklund, Ramsdorf ( Ramstorp ) Sorgwohld ( Sorgvold ) and Steinsieken ( Stensig ) are located in the municipal area.

Geography and transport

Owschlag is located about 8 km north of Rendsburg and 13 km south of Schleswig on the edge of the Hüttener mountains. To the east runs the Federal Highway 7 from Hamburg to Flensburg, west of State Road 77 from Rendsburg Schleswig. The railway line that connects the two cities, the town has a railway station. Until 1954 there was a railway line Eckernförder orbits of Owschlag to Eckernförde.

History
