Oxapampa Province

Oxapampa is one of the three Peruvian provinces, which together form the Pasco region. The provincial capital is Oxapampa. The province was officially registered on 27 November 1944 and is therefore very well known because it was founded by German and Austrian immigrants. Therefore, one of the official languages ​​of the province in addition to Spanish and several indigenous dialects also German. The Oxapampa province extends over 18673.79 km ². In the 2007 census, 81 929 inhabitants were counted.

The Oxapampa province is divided into eight districts Oxapampa, Chontabamba, Huancabamba Palcazu, Pozuzo, Puerto Bermúdez, Villa Rica and Ciudad Constitucion.
