Template: Infobox chemical / molecular formula search available
2H- Oxet belongs to the group of heterocyclic chemical compounds. Is the simplest stable oxygen-containing four-membered unsaturated heterocycle. Formally, it is derived from the structure of the cyclobutene, in which a carbon atom has been replaced by an oxygen atom.
Production and representation
2H- Oxet can be synthesized by a photochemical cyclization of acrolein.
Reactions
By reduction with molecular hydrogen on a palladium - carbon catalyst can 2H Oxet saturated oxetane to be reduced.
With nucleophiles it usually reacts with ring opening, whereby the high relief of strain.
Even at room temperature, Oxet sets with ring opening slowly to acrolein.
