Oxford Township is one of thirteen townships of Butler County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in the year 2000 24.133 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Oxford Township is located in the extreme northwest of Butler County in southwest Ohio, on the west by Indiana and clockwise in the townships: Israel Township, Preble County, Somers Township ( Preble County), Milford Township, Hanover Township, Reily Township, Bath Township in Franklin County ( Indiana), and Union Township, Union County ( Indiana).

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk ( responsible for finance and budget), which is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
