Oxisol
As Oxisol is referred to according to the USDA soil classification highly weathered tropical soils, as they are commonly found in the tropical regions of Africa and South America, where a stable climate with high humidity prevails. Following the international WRB classification system, these soils are called Ferralsols. Worldwide, about 9.8 million square kilometers or 7.5 per cent of the land surface of the earth is covered with Oxisols.
