Oxossi

Ochosi ( Òsóòsì; Oxossi ) is in the religion of the Yoruba and the derived Afro-American religions of the archaic hunter with bow and arrow, the Orisha of the hunt. He hunts with bow and arrow and always hits the mark. On the hunt, he 's a loner, but with his prey, he contributes to the community at. He is alive, mobile, clever, humble and sincere.

In a figurative sense Ochosi is the focus, determination and concentration that gives the people the perseverance in the pursuit of his ideas and projects. Ochosi is also the Orisha of captivity and the prisons. He belongs with Eshu and Ogun to the Orishas that are received in the initiation of guerrero.

In the Brazilian Candomblé Oxossi is syncretistic connected with St. George. His greeting is Oke Aro, its color green or blue, his mark bow and arrow ( OFA ) and his day is Thursday.
