Oye Como Va

Oye Como Va is a song that was written in 1963 by Latin jazz and mambo musician Tito Puente and produced by Jack Fishman and Michael Linn and published. The title and the text of the song were inspired by the 1937 song written by the Cuban bassist Cachao López Chanchullo.

The title means in German as " Hey, how's it going ".

A well-known cover version comes from Carlos Santana, who released the song in 1970 on his album Abraxas. Santana reached with the song number 13 on the Billboard Top 100 and # 11 in the Easy Listening charts and number 32 in the R & B charts. Other cover versions come from Celia Cruz and The Salsa Brothers.
