Oyster sauce

Oyster sauce is a viscous dark brown condiment of Asian cuisine. Originally from fermented in salt water oysters prepared, it is now mostly a mixture of oyster extract and soy sauce, which has been previously boiled with salt, garlic and onions. It is thickened with corn flour and colored with caramel.
