Ozherelye

Oscherelje (Russian Ожерелье, literally " necklace ") is a 10,469 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ) scoring small town and railway junction in the Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast, 125 km from Moscow and 10 km from the raion center Kashira.

History

Since 1578 known as a village, Oscherelje in 1900 to a station settlement on the then -built route from Moscow to Lipetsk and Pawelez. Mid -1930s was a close Oscherelje incipient branch built by the track direction Wenjow and Nowomoskowsk so that Oscherelje became a railway junction. Due to the fact there was a larger locomotives depot and a railway technical school.

1958 was awarded the city status, the former settlement.

Economy and Transport

The importance Oschereljes as a railway node characterizes its economy. The city's railway station there are direct trains to Paveletskaya Station in Moscow, also, for example by Kashira, Domodedovo or Serebrjanyje Prudy. The most important road is the way to Astrakhan leading highway M6.

In addition to railroad shops there are in the city a brick and farms.
