Özlüce Dam

The Özlüce Dam ( Özlüce Baraji ) in Elazig district Karakoçan (Kurdish Depe ) is a dam in eastern Turkey on the river Peri.
The dam is located in the province of Elazig, near the border with the province of Tunceli and was completed in 2000. The dam, a rockfill dam is 144 m high. In the hydropower plant an amount of energy of 413 GWh generated per year. It is distributed via the power distribution network of Erzurum. The naming of the dam goes back to the village Özlüce (Kurdish Mugbet ).
