Oznice

Oznice ( German Osnitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south-west of Valašské Meziříčí in Moravian Wallachia and belongs to Okres Vsetín.

Geography

The scattered settlement Oznice extends in the northeast of the Hostýnské mountains in the valley of the brook Oznička. To the north rise the Petříkovec (532 m) and the Písková ( 578 m), in the south of the Crhová ( 458 m) and Dlouhá hora ( 485 m), southwest of the Čarabovská ( 569 m) and the Kuželek ( 568 m) and in the west the Hurka ( 557 m).

Neighboring towns are Na pasekách, Branky, Dolni Dvůr Trnové, Vanova and Paseky u Revíru in the north, Bražiska, Krplov, Písková, Jarcová and Zavápenné in the Northeast, U Niveckých and Na Uhlisku in the east, U Macháčků, Nova, Na Podhoří, U Sulovských, U Skalovjáků, U Malku, Bystřička and Dolni Zemani in the southeast, U Plšků, Čarabovská, Juřiňáci and Mikulůvka in the south, and Lipí Lázy the southwest, Na Potoce, Podolí Loučka in the west and Vrchovec and policy in the Northwest.

History

The village was probably built in the wake of the great colonization phase. The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1376 as part of the episcopal lexical borrowings Arnoltovice. In 1396 the place as Ozdnicze, 1403 and 1505 as Oscznicz as Oznicze was called. Later, the village went out. 1535 Wozniczy was called a desert village. In 1580 the deserted village was called Ozdniczy.

After the Thirty Years War, the rule Valašské Meziříčí let recolonize the site. 1663 passed in the valley nine smallholdings whose residents beat Paseken and docked fields. At this time, the settlement Konvice and Nová Dědina was called. Successive settled scattered over the valley more Wallachian Pasekaren to. In 1751 the settlement was known as Oznicza. The agriculture in the mountain village not enough to livelihood of the residents. After the abolition of patrimonial Osnicza formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Valašské Meziříčí. 1872, the site was designated as Osnice and 1881 as Ozdnice. 1878 was the inauguration of the school. The place names Osnice and Oznice have been handed down from the year 1885. After the abolition of Okres Valašské Meziříčí Oznice in 1960 associated with the Okres Vsetín. In 1997 the village was hit by a heavy flood of Oznička. This was followed by the state forestry enterprise Lesy ČR a repair of the embankments of the river as well as the application of weirs with back-flooding facilities.
