Ozoir-la-Ferrière

Ozoir -la -Ferrière is a commune with 20 123 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Seine- et- Marne in the Île- de -France region; it belongs to the district Melun and the District of Le MÃ © -sur -Seine. The inhabitants are called Ozoiriens or Ozophoriciens.

Demographics

History

During the French Revolution the place was called Ozoir la Raison. The mark of 1,000 inhabitants exceeded the place only after the RER network had reached Ozoir early 20th century, in the late 1920s.

Traffic

Ozoir -la -Ferrière is served by the RER E. The municipality is located on the railway line Paris -Mulhouse. The Route nationale 4 crosses Ozoir -la -Ferrière from Paris to Nancy.
