Pa Daet District

Amphoe Pa Daet ( in Thai: อำเภอ ป่าแดด ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Chiang Rai. The Chiang Rai province is located in the extreme north of the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from west clockwise): Amphoe Phan which, Mueang Chiang Rai and Thoeng Chiang Rai province, and Chun, Doc Khamtai, Phu Kamyao, Mueang Phayao and Mae Chai of Phayao Province.

History

The county was founded on 1 June 1969 as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ), consisting of the individual Tambon Pa Daet. On August 21, 1975 Pa Daet received the full Amphoe status.

Management

The circle is divided into five subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 58 villages ( Muban ).

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Pa Daet consists of parts of the tambon same name.
  • Pa Ngae consists of the same whole tambon.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
