Pa Tio District

Amphoe Pa Tio ( in Thai อำเภอ ป่าติ้ว ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Yasothon. The Yasothon Province is located in the eastern part of Northeast Thailand, Isaan.

Geography

Amphoe Pa Tio borders the following districts (from the south clockwise): Amphoe Kham to the Khuean Kaeo, Mueang Yasothon, Kut Chum and Thai Charoen Province Yasothon, Amphoe Mueang Amnat as well as the Charoen and Hua Taphan Amnat Charoen the province.

History

As large parts of Siam fell east of the Mekong River in the late 19th century France, there were numerous settlers from Laos who wanted to settle in Isaan. Among the newly established villages was also Ban Pa Tio. In 1933, the Thai " Highway Department " means a road built from Amphoe Yasothon Amphoe Amnat Charoen and Amphoe to Khemarat, the three districts of the former province of Ubon Ratchathani. This road also went through the village of Pa Tio, which helped him to growth. 1951 a petition was submitted to Pa Tio to a small district ( King Amphoe ) with the three Tambon Pho Sai, Khok Na Ko Krachai and heraufzustufen. This was however only officially met on August 17, 1966.

1969 Pa Tio got a Amphoe status of the province of Ubon Ratchathani. As Yasothon on March 1, 1972, a separate province was, Pa Tio was one of the six districts that were assigned to the new province.

Management

Amphoe Pa Tio is divided into five communities ( tambon), which in turn in 57 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Pa Tio ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ป่าติ้ว ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Pho Sai.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
