The Pachon Navarro is a Spanish hunting dog from brackish type that is not recognized by the FCI, but is recognized by the FCI Spanish sub-organization RSCE. This assigns the breed FCI Group 7, Section 1.
Origin and History
Even Goya and Velásquez should have mentioned the Pachón Navarro. In the 18th and 19th century, he enjoyed great popularity among the nobles. At the beginning of the 20th century it was becoming increasingly rare. After the Spanish Civil War, he was almost extinct. It is thanks to some friends of the race, that she is once again represented with a good stock. These three drove 1979 2000 km across Spain to gather up the leftovers. The breed was recognized recently by the RSCE (Real Sociedad Canina Española ).
Description
The coat is short or long- setter like in the colors lever / white or orange / white. The head is rather broad with medium length, brown floppy ears. The dogs are up to 57 cm tall and 33 kg.
Use
The Pachon Navarro is a pointer. As Brack race of Pachón is a good hunting dog. It is suitable for searching, retrieving and protrusion.
