Pacific Division (NBA)
The Pacific Division is one of the divisions in the North American professional basketball league National Basketball Association (NBA). The teams in the league are divided into two Conferences ( Eastern Conference and Western Conference ), which in turn are divided into three divisions.
The division into divisions made according to the principles of local teams. In the Pacific Division of the teams that are located near the west coast of the U.S., so near the Pacific play. The Pacific Division was established in 1970 2004 the division after division was reformed in the NBA - four, six divisions, with the result that reduced the Pacific Division from seven to five teams.; the Portland Trail Blazers and the Seattle Supersonics were incorporated into the newly established Northwest Division.
