Pacific Heights (San Francisco)

Pacific Heights is a wealthy neighborhood of San Francisco. With panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz and the Presidio, it offers one of the best residential areas in the city. It is inhabited mainly by young urban professionals and wealthy residents. Most shops and restaurants are located on Fillmore Street.

Geographical location

The area lies between Presidio Avenue and Van Ness Avenue, between California Street and Broadway. Adjacent neighborhoods are Lower Pacific Heights in the south, Japantown and Polk Gulch to the east, the west and Presidio Heights Cow Hollow and the Marina District in the north.

Economy

Several countries have consulates in Pacific Heights, including Germany, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Russia and Vietnam.
