Pacijan Island

Pacijan is a Philippine island and lies in the Camotes Sea between the Philippine main islands of Cebu and Leyte, in the south there is Bohol.

The island is 61.4 km ² and measures approximately 18 km in a north-south direction and 15 km in east-west direction. It belongs to the municipality ( bayan or municipality ) San Francisco.

Pacijan heard with Poro, Ponson and Tulang to the Camotes Islands. The small islets Tulang is located in the north. With the neighboring island of Poro directly in the east it was already connected over 100 years ago with a bridge that separates today only a narrow arm of the sea, the two islands. Here is the main town of San Francisco.

In the north of the island is the five-kilometer Danao Lake, where even two small islands lie and on the banks of two parks are created. There are several beaches: Santiago Bay in the southeast, Bakhaw at Esperanza and Mangodlong at Himensulan with an offshore coral island.

Tulang

Approximately 400 m off the north coast is the small island Tulang and extends over 1.5 km with a narrow end and a wide end in the southeast to the northwest. The island belongs to Barangay Esperanza and how Pacijan to the community of San Francisco.
