Padma Vibhushan

The Padma Vibhushan is by Bharat Ratna the second highest Indian civilian Merit. The Order and the associated award certificate every year on January 26, the "Day of the Republic", conferred by the Indian President.

The award was introduced on January 2, 1954. With it, people are exceptionally outstanding achievements for the Indian nation, regardless of which area honored. From 13 July 1977 to 26 January 1980, the award of the prize had been suspended.

The third-highest medal of Padma Bhushan is, the fourth highest of the Padma Shri.
