Paid tha Cost to Be da Bo $ $ is the sixth studio album by American rapper Snoop Dogg. It was released on 26 November 2002 at Capitol Records and Priority, as well as his label Doggystyle Records. Worldwide, the album more than 1.3 million copies sold.

Critical reception
Overall, the album received generally positive reviews. The overall rating of Metacritic awarded the album 76 out of 100. John Bush of Allmusic, gave the album 4.5 stars out of 5, with the album by Anthony Bozza, got by Rolling Stone, only three out of five stars. Jon Caramanica of Entertainment Weekly rated the album with an A and wrote: " Snoop is reborn, a grandfather in Zurücklehnung ".
Commercial success
In the U.S. Billboard 200, the album reached number 12 in the U.S. charts. With sold over a million copies in the United States, the album also received the platinum record. In the British album charts, the album reached position 64 in Germany and Switzerland, the album reached number 46 and 48 respectively on the album charts. In the Danish and New Zealand charts, the album was at number 27. In France, the album debuted at number 17 on the album charts and stayed there for another 23 weeks.
