Pain (musical project)

Pain is a Swedish Metal Group and is a project by Peter Tägtgren, who was mainly known in addition to his production work for his role as frontman and composer of the death metal band Hypocrisy.

Band History

Tägtgren in 1996 signed his first contract with the German label Nuclear Blast and yet published in the same year the self-titled debut Pain, on which he had written for years alone and experimenting. The 2000 Stockholm Records released their second album Rebirth marked the commercial breakthrough of the project. In Tägtgren's native Sweden, the single release End of the Line was awarded a gold disc.

In October 2008 was released on Nuclear Blast the sixth studio album Cynic Paradise.
