Painted Desert (South Australia)

The Painted Desert, literally Colored Desert, located 121 km north west of Coober Pedy and 73 kilometers south-west of Oodnadatta in the vicinity of the place Arckaringa in the Australian state of South Australia. The place Marla is 132 km away.

As a result of erosion over millions of years created a lake, in the next to differently colored minerals were deposited even further fossils.
