Pakham District

Amphoe Pakham ( Thai: อำเภอ ปะ คำ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the southwestern province of Buriram. The Buriram province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Non Suwan, the Nang Rong, Lahan Sai and Non Din Daeng Buriram Province and Amphoe Sang Soeng in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima.

History

Pakham was on 1 December 1978 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the three tambon Pakham, Thai Charoen and Nong Bua Amphoe Lahan Sai were separated from. On March 15, 1985, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

The county Pakham is divided into five subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 77 villages ( Muban ).

Pakham ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ปะ คำ ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Pakham.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
