Pakistan Hockey Federation

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF ) is the umbrella organization of Pakistani hockey clubs. She is a member of the World Federation FIH. Current President PHF Qasim Zia is.

History

The PHF was established in 1948 after the independence of Pakistan from India. Their first international game was the Pakistani national team ( the men) from London. It took place on August 2, 1948 and ended with a 1-2 defeat against Belgium.

After a golden age in the 1970s, the descent of Pakistan from the world leader with the introduction of artificial turf began. Only after a twelve-year "time out" Pakistan won again in 1988, the Champions Trophy and the World Cup. Since winning the 1994 World Cup Pakistan is Titellos.
