Pakistan Petroleum

Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL ) is a Pakistani oil company with headquarters in Karachi, Sindh.

The oldest and largest exploration and mining company of petroleum in the country was established on June 5, 1950, after the government had previously introduced in the Pakistan Petroleum Production Rules, new regulations, according to which only authorized in Pakistan company got a permit. The British Burmah Oil Company was divided then all the shares in the country in the Pakistan Petroleum Limited from where the Government was involved initially with 30 percent. On 1 July 1953, the transactions were recorded.
