Paktofonika

Paktofonika was a Polish hip- hop group from Katowice and Mikołów.

History

It was formed in 1998 from the rappers Magik (Piotr Łuszcz ) from the group caliber 44, Marcin ( Marcin Blazej Lupa ) from the group CKM 13 Zilliardow, Rahim (Sebastian Salbert ) from the group 3X Klan and focus ( Wojciech Alszer ). In 2000, even the producers DJ bamboo and Sot joined the group. Then they signed a record deal with Giant Records.

In the summer of 2000, the group was a guest in Witten, where they track recordings with the German hip -hop artists Lakman, Dike D, Onanon, LO & Kam along two kilos, which was released on the first album.

A week after the release of their first album Kinematografia ( Cinematography ) in 2000 Magik took his own life. Then the band in 2001 brought an EP in honor of the late Magik under the name Jestem Bogiem ( I am God ), including with various remixes of the same tracks from their first album out. In 2002 came her second and last album Archiwum Kinematografii ( Archive Cinematography ) with old, still existing studio recordings out. The group then broke up officially in 2003 with a big farewell concert, which was later released as a DVD.

Subsequently, Rahim and focus connected with DJ bamboo to the group Pokahontaz together and devoted themselves to other projects, such as Pijani Powietrzem & Straho.
