The Palacio de los Deportes is an indoor arena in Mexico City. It belongs to the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City complex and is located close to the airport and the Foro Sol.

Use

The arena was built for the 1968 Olympics. During the Olympics the basketball competition was held in the hall. Later on, the hall was used by the 1994-1995 Mexico City Azteca from the CBA for basketball games and in 1995 by the Mexico Toros for indoor soccer.

Mainly the arena but was subsequently used for concerts. In the arena already occurred many well-known artists such as Metallica, KISS, or - in December 2012 - Bruce Springsteen.

The hall was also used by the NBA. A total of 16 pre-season matches were played in the hall. A regular season game was on December 6, 1997, with the match Houston Rockets Dallas Mavericks first staged on Mexican soil, making it to this day the only game of the regular season, which took place in Mexico.
