Palagonia

Palagonia is a city in the Province of Catania in Sicily in Italy with 16,596 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012).

Location and data

Palagonia is located 49 km southwest of Catania. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture, animal husbandry and industry. Also significant is the olive oil production.

The neighboring municipalities are Lentini (SR ), Militello in Val di Catania, Mineo and Ramacca.
