Palais de Beaulieu

The Palais de Beaulieu is the congress and exhibition center in the city of Lausanne. In addition to the main hall with 4,600 seats there is a theater and other conference rooms on three floors. In addition to conferences and presentations, exhibitions and concerts, as well as the Concours Euro Vision Song Contest 1989.

History

The main hall was built in 1925. In the 1950s, the Halles sud and the Théâtre de Beaulieu were added, and two statues ( "craft" and "Agriculture") frame the entrance. In 1967 the court of the palace into a square, with a garden as a center with the North Halles. In the 1980s, the convention center was supplemented with residential and commercial buildings, as of 2000 was followed by a parking garage. Since 2011, the MCH Group operates the convention center.
