The Palau Sant Jordi (Catalan for " Saint George Palace ") is a multi-purpose arena in the Spanish city of Barcelona, Catalonia.

The hall was designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki and opened in 1990. It is located on the site of the 1992 Summer Olympics, right next to the Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys. During the Games, the gymnastics competitions and the finals were held in volleyball and handball at the Palau Sant Jordi.

Other major sporting events were the final of the Davis Cup in 2000, the final round of the Basketball Euro League 2002/ 03 and the World Swimming Championships in 2003. During the Snowboard World Cup 2011 Big Air Competition also took place here.

In addition to sporting events, the arena has a capacity of 17,000 spectators, the hall also serves as a concert venue with up to 20,000 spectators. So also had Depeche Mode at their " Tour of the Universe " in 2009, their live DVD, Tour of the Universe: added to the arena to Barcelona.
