Palawan State University

The Palawan State University (PSU ) is a public university in the Philippines and is considered an important educational institution in the Philippines and in the administrative region of MIMAROPA.

Locations

She has eleven locations in the province of Palawan, the main campus of the University is located at the Tiniguiban Heights in Puerto Princesa. The other sites are located in Rizal, Narra, Araceli, Brooke 's Point, Cuyo, Coron, Balabac, Roxas, Taytay and El Nido

Courses

The Palawan State University hosts various faculties, these are divided into high school and technical college areas, as well as vocational training institutes and colleges. These are the Colleges of Sciences, College of Business & Accountancy, College of Engineering, Architecture & Technology, College of Education, College of Arts & humanitie and the Laboratory High School. These offer the following courses to obtain the following academic degrees: Master of Arts in Education, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Education, Master of Business Administration, Doctor of Business Administration, Doctor of Education.

History

The precursor of the University was founded in 1965 on the initiative of Congressman Gaudencio A. Abordo as Palawan Teachers College. This was based on the legislative initiatives No. 9167, which were adopted by Diosdado Macapagal in the Republic Act 4303. However, it took until 1972 to the College, the work could take. On 27 February 1984, the Collge was upgraded and converted to the Palawan State College. This allowed the college courses in the subjects of Arts, Science and Technology to offer. On November 12, 1994, the college was transferred by the Republic Act 7818, in the Palawan State University.
