Palazzo Strozzi
The Strozzi Palace is a Renaissance palace in Florence.
History
The palace was probably built by order of Filippo Strozzi to designs by Giuliano da Sangallo to 1489-1539. He embodies in a very pure form of the Florentine palace of the early Renaissance. Filippo Strozzi died before the completion of the Palazzo Strozzi. The Strozzi family remained until 1937, owner of the building.
Current usage
Today is the seat of the Palazzo Centro di cultura contemporanea Strozzina. There are regular exhibitions shown with Italian and international art topics.
