Palestine Investment Conference

The Palestine Investment Conference aims to strengthen the economy of the Palestinian territories and to support a future Palestinian state. It took place in 2008 and 2010 in Bethlehem. The conference is organized by Mahmoud Abbas and Salam Fayyad. In 2008, Tony Blair took part. In 2010, the U.S. delegation was headed by George J. Mitchell.

The 2008 conference was focused on large development projects. One result is the planned city of Rawabi. The 2010 conference was focused on small and medium-sized enterprises.
