Páll Guðmundsson

Páll Guðmundsson (* 1959 in Húsafell ) is an Icelandic sculptor and lives in Reykholtsdalur in Iceland.

He was educated at the Cologne University of Applied Arts. Meanwhile, the artist lives and works again mainly in his birthplace.

Its characteristic are faces that he works out of the locally available stone ( and in some ways reads out beforehand). Among others, he has Johann Sebastian Bach, the Icelandic musician Björk and the Icelandic writer Thor Vilhjálmsson perpetuated.

In addition, Páll also operates as a musician in a self-built stone harp and went so already with the Icelandic band Sigur Rós on a tour on.
