Palletizer

A palletizer palletizing robot is a system or process automation to automatically summarize packages on cargo carriers. For this task, the known 4 may - or 6- axis industrial robot systems are used.

There are basically four different types of palletizers: articulated robots as when layering palletizer, robot as a linear or as Portalpalettierer.

Articulated robots

Articulated robots are widely used in the automotive industry used, usually 6-axis machines with cubic grasping space. Their range is extensive and they are flexible for any application specific adjustments are necessary.

Layer palletizer

With a layer palletizer complete layers of a pallet load are placed on a pallet. Layer palletizers are considered the most powerful palletizer. Differences are layering palletizer generally by two different modes of operation.

First layer palletizer with pallet lift: product inlet is at a higher level ( eg, 3200 mm). The empty pallet is raised under the pre-grouped location. , By opening a sliding bottom, the layer is deposited on the pallet.

Second layer palletizer with Lagenhub: Product inlet frequently below (eg 1000 mm). The pre-grouped layer is raised above the pallet and by opening a sliding soil, the layer is deposited.

A more powerful version is considered the version of the palletizer with pallet lift.

Linear robot

Linear robots are widely used for palletizing. The grip area is caused by the cubic kinematic structure, which comes close in shape to the geometry of the typical load unit. Systems of this type are usually of 3 linear axes of motion for positioning in the room as well as a rotary axis for rotation of packages and thus produce any packing pattern of the charge carriers (pallets ). The size and design of the gripping space can be easily customized by the frequent vorzufindenden modular structure of the task. The grip area can be designed so that up to 15 pallets can be placed in the gripping space simultaneously.

Portalpalettierer

The Portalpalettierer is a portal robot consisting of three linear axes. A linear robot can drive all the way through the cubic space. While an articulated arm robot always has to rotate around its own axis, a gantry robot can always go the direct route.

Endverpackungssysteme

Finished packaged products, which are packaged in bags or sacks are layered using a palletizer in layers on a transport pallet. The necessary technology is very extensive, since the operation is carried out fully automatically. The product has to be supplied to the palletizer via conveyor belts or roller conveyors. This twisting and turning the product process-driven, so that the complete stratification exists on a range of different layers arranged. After palletizing finished the loaded pallet is stored either equal to or more packed. This is followed by another station from the production: the products are packed on the pallet eg by a film winder on and secured or sealed in a large plastic bag. Thereafter, the product is ready for transportation.

Magazinierungssysteme

Apart from the pure application of the palletizer in the final packaging, palletizing of overpacks, these machines are also used for product handling to fully automatic assembly or production lines. Allows a clamping and aligning a workpiece to be processed outside the machine tool. In order for this expensive machine is saved from unnecessary standstill.

The palletizer be stocked with products (or products to be assembled ) workpiece carrier (tray ) with a double strap from the outside automatically loaded. Here, several pallets are placed one above the other on the feed section. The stack runs into the palletizer and the workpiece carriers are removed from a hopper. A horizontal table axis, the workpiece carrier is moved to the transfer position and is positioned there. About a further handling axis takes place the filling or emptying of the workpiece carrier onto the fuser. Depending on usage, palletizing or de-palletizing, the products are removed by a gripping system located on the handling axis of the workpiece carriers and placed on the assembly line, or taken from the production line and stored in the workpiece carrier.

The full ( empty ) tray is moved after the machining operation from the table axis to a third position in the palletizers and piled up there. If a certain number of trays available, the stack is passed over the double strap from the palletizers and redeploy outside the machine.

The field of application of this type palletizer is more likely to see in magazining or in the stocking of parts. Often there are small parts, or items which are fed to an assembly process, or come from a production process ( injection molding ). However, it can be separated even for a filling process Cans or bottles used and provided for the filling.

Today's palletizing systems allow positioning on a machine tool of less than one hundredth of a millimeter, and the. Within a few seconds This is done either by hand or automatically by a pallet changer. Due to the mostly rear clamping the workpiece on the pallet a 5-sided machining is possible, which is just as essential for efficient processing of the workpiece. Several successive steps can be executed on a variety, equipped with the same palletizing machine tools. It also intermediate checks on measuring machines are possible.
