Pamela Reed

Pamela Reed ( born April 2, 1949 in Tacoma, Washington ) is an American actress.

Reed studied "Arts " at the University of Washington where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. In the movie, The stuff of which heroes are (1983 ) she appeared alongside Sam Shepard, Scott Glenn, Ed Harris and Dennis Quaid. She played under the direction of Robert Altman a starring role in the television series Tanner '88 from the year 1988. In the comedy Cadillac Man (1990 ) she starred opposite Robin Williams and Tim Robbins one of the major roles. In the comedy Kindergarten Cop (1990) and junior ( 1994) she starred opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the thriller sign of life - Proof of Life (2000) she starred opposite Meg Ryan and Russell Crowe, for her role she was nominated for a Blockbuster Entertainment Award. In the animated series The Simpsons she lent her voice to the character Ruth Powers, a neighbor of the Simpsons.

Reed is married to the director Sandy Smolan since 1988 and has two adopted children.
