Pampanuto

The white grape Pampanuto is an indigenous variety from Italy and is grown exclusively in the region of Apulia. Their cultivation is recommended in the province of Bari. The main growing areas are in the immediate vicinity of the communities Corato and Ruvo. In 1999, the area under vines was 892 acres.

The vines have very large leaves and the greenish-yellow grapes are quite large. The white wines are mostly used for blends, for example in the DOC - Wine Castel del Monte. There, the wine is offered both as a still wine and sparkling wine.
