Pampero (wind)

The Pampero is an often stormy southwest wind in the Argentine Pampas. He brings this cold, dry air from Patagonia to the Pampas to Buenos Aires and as far as Paraguay and Uruguay. Associated with the Pampero often go considerable rainfall and temperature drop.

The Pampero, whose name derives from its origins in the field of Pampa, occurs on the back of the southern hemisphere means width lows mainly from October to January on. It thus corresponds to a north- westerly weather in Europe.
