Pampulha

Pampulha is a borough of the city of Belo Horizonte in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that Oscar Niemeyer has the São Francisco Church ( Igreja de São Francisco de Assis ) built in Pampulha in 1943.

Pampulha is also the name Oscar Niemeyer's first creative period, which lasted until 1943.
