Panare District

Amphoe Panare ( Thai: อำเภอ ปา นา เระ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Pattani. The Pattani province is located southeast of the southern region of Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are ( from south clockwise): Amphoe Sai Buri which, mayo and Yaring in Pattani Province. In the north and east is the Gulf of Thailand.

History

The name Panare comes from the Malay languages, Pata beach and Tare means a kind of trawlers. So Pata Tare means a beach where trawls can be air dried. Over time, the pronunciation of Pata Tare in Panare changed.

Attractions

In the district there are six remarkable sand beaches that are lined by pine trees often, but also by coconut trees. Some, such as the Hat Ma Ruat are accessible only by footpaths.

Management

Amphoe Panare is divided into ten sub-districts ( tambon), which continued in 52 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Panare is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Panare.

In addition, there are nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
