PandaBoard

The PandaBoard is a single-board computer that is designed and supported by a free developer community. There are two versions of the board. The current revision with the initials ES is based on the OMAP4460 SoC from Texas Instruments with a maximum clock frequency of 1.2 GHz. The previously published variant uses an OMAP4430 1 GHz. Otherwise, both board versions do not differ significantly from each other.

The PandaBoard is sold at the price of about 150 to 180 euros.

The board has no consumers to the USB port has a power consumption of about 3-6 watts, depending on the CPU load. The hardware design is free as the Beagle Board. It is an ARM Cortex- A9 processor used.

Operating Systems

Various Linux distributions and Linux-based operating systems are available for the PandaBoard. This includes Ubuntu, Arch Linux, and Ångström distributions as well as classic operating systems such as Android and Meego.
