Pangamic acid is an ester of gluconic acid, and dimethylglycine. It is an intermediate in the Cholinstoffwechsel ( choline → betaine Pangamic acid → → → glycine sarcosine ).

It was at times (vitamin B15) belongs to the group of B vitamins, which has not been preserved, however, since the human body can normally produce even Pangamic acid in sufficient quantity.
