Panganiban (Catanduanes)

Panganiban is a Philippine municipality of the island province of Catanduanes. It has 9738 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 23 barangays. The community is described as partly urban and belongs to the fifth income class municipalities in the Philippines. Panganiban is located about 363 km southeast of the capital of the Philippines Manila and 37 km northeast of the provincial capital Virac.

San Andres is located in the northeast of the island and has a hilly to mountainous topography described in which even parts of nature and water reserve Catanduanes Watershed Forest Reserve, with its vast rain forests.

The climate of the island of Catanduanes is classified as Type II, with no pronounced dry or wet season, the highest rainfall occurs from October to December. The community is located within the Typhongürtels in the Philippines.
