Panoteriai

Panoteriai is a town with 400 inhabitants in the Rajongemeinde Jonava, in the district of Silai, 4 km south of the highway Kėdainiai - Ukmergė. It is a center of seniūnaitija. There is a Catholic Church ( Church Panoteriai ), a library, post office (LT- 55085 ), as well as a cultural center.

History

The place is known from the mid-15th century. In the 19th century it was called Koplyčios. 1441 they built a chapel, which went to reforming products before 1584. 1700 she caught fire.

1918 Office School was founded. From 1930 to 1934 there taught J. Šibaila, a partisan of " Geležinis vilkas ", head of Žemaitijos apygarda. As of September 1944, there was the Progymnasium Panoteriai. During the Soviet occupation, there has been a middle school Panoteriai and since 1994 the Petras- Vaičiūnas main school Panoteriai.
