Paolo Bacigalupi

Paolo Bacigalupi ( born August 6, 1972) is an American science fiction author.

His work Biokrieg is in a bleak future where the raw material shortages, famine and Genlaboratorien part of everyday life.

Bacigalupis works have won several awards. For his first novel Biokrieg (The Windup Girl ), he received, among other things, the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award. Time Magazine took the work on the list of the 10 best books of the year 2009. The novel Ship Thieves (Ship Breaker ) from the year 2010 was nominated for the National Book Award.
