Paolo Lanfranchi

Paolo Lanfranchi ( born July 25, 1968 in Gazzaniga ( Lombardy ) ) is an Italian former racing cyclist.

Lanfranchi from 1993 to 2004 as a professional active. For greater success, he succeeded only in the second half of his career. These include the two overall victories in the Tour de Langkawi in Malaysia in 1999 and 2001 as well as the stage win at the Giro d' Italia 2000 in Briançon. A controversial role played Lanfranchi in the road race in the pros during the 2001 World Cup in Lisbon, as he his on the pursuit national team teammate Gilberto Simoni involved; well in order to preserve the chances of his Mapei teammate Oscar Freire. In fact, Freire won at the end of the race in the sprint.
