Paolo Roberto

Paolo Roberto ( born February 3, 1969 in Upplands Väsby, Stockholms län, Sweden) is a Swedish former professional boxer, television presenter and actor.

Biography

Youth

In its early years was Roberto her about by a street gang and would only become quiet through the martial arts. Before he started boxing, he trained taekwondo and kickboxing.

Boxing career

His professional career in boxing began with a win over Laszlo Molnar on December 18, 1993 in Finland. After four victories, he had his first draw in a fight against John Duckworth on November 7, 1994 in London. His first defeat came on April 27, 1995 compared Dusty Miller, also in London. After a few victories in the middleweight and welterweight, he was able to secure with the International title of the World Boxing Council welterweight from 16 November 2002 his first title. He defeated Raul Eduardo Bejarano to on points. With his next fight he secured in addition to Inter- Continental title of the World Boxing Association. His last fight took place on 4 October 2003. In this he lost his WBO title against Sebastian Andres Lujan by KO in the second round. Overall, he won 28 of his 33 professional fights, including 13 by knockout.

After his boxing career

Known in Germany Roberto was his appearance in Stieg Larsson's novel damnation. He also played himself in the eponymous film. Already in 1997 he appeared in a lead role in the Swedish film Street Fight 9 millimeter, which was published in Germany only as a double feature with The Hunter's Moon.

After a failed part in Let's Dance, the Swedish version of Dancing with the Stars ( he and his partner Helena Fransson eliminated in the fourth episode of ) Roberto stepped in several Swedish TV series as a guest star and moderated some game shows.

Roberto is married and has a son (* 2004) and a daughter (* 2007).
