Papal conclave, 1846

The conclave of 1846 was held from 14 to 16 June 1846 Quirinale Palace after Pope Gregory XVI. died on 1 June 1846.

Course

At the conclave, which began on June 14, was attended by 50 of the 62 cardinals. Almost all (49 ) were Italians.
