Paper Lions

The Paper Lions are a Canadian rock band from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Iceland.

They represent the musical styles of rock ( music), pop and crunk.

The trademark of the band at live performances is a preppy clothes in black suits with white shirts and ties, which can be a little reminiscent of the early Beatles.

Band History

The Paper Lions were founded in 2004, originally under the name Chucky Danger tape of John MacPhee and his brother Rob MacPhee. Other founding members are Colin Buchanan and David Cyrus McDonalds.

The music style of the band was influenced by a stay of several years of band founder John MacPhee in Cambodia, where he campaigned for the poorest.

To his distraction and to deal with the emotional ups and downs that brought his thereat social engagement with them can handle, he composed songs for the acoustic guitar.

Back to P.E.I. in Canada, he played his works before his brother Rob and his neighbor Colin, who had them totally thrilled and immediately they began to implement acoustic guitar pieces in sophisticated musical arrangements.

The first public appearance was at the 2004 PEI Music Awards instead. The first studio single of the band called Living Forward quickly became the most desired music at the local radio station Magic 93.1 FM on PEI. Through the publication of Sweet Symphony, the Music of Chucky spread Danger Band very quickly over the radio stations in the throughout the country. In September of the same year, the band recorded one studio album on at the Canadian record label CBC Atlantic Airwaves. During a live performance of producer Paul Milner (Robert Palmer, Kim Mitchell, Glass Tiger, etc.) attention to the now simply called Chucky Danger group and collided with Glen Meisner and Carl Falkenham to the band to the CBC Session to produce.

2004 and 2005 followed the publication of the six -pack- EP and the profit of the PEI Music Awards for Best Artist of the Year 2005. 2006, the group released their debut album Colour and won in the same year, the East Coast Music Award for Best Pop Recording of the Year.

Since February 2008, the band called Paper Lions. In 2010 she released her album Trophies. In June 2012, the album At Long Creek followed.
